# Terms of Use

Understand the terms governing access to and use of the SHELLZERO X platform and its cybersecurity services.

***

### Overview

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the SHELLZERO X website and its available platform features.

By accessing or using SHELLZERO X, you are responsible for complying with applicable laws, respecting the rights of other parties, and using the platform only for authorized purposes.

This page provides a documentation overview of important usage considerations. It should not be treated as a substitute for the complete, legally reviewed terms published by SHELLZERO X.

### Acceptable Use

You must use SHELLZERO X responsibly and only for lawful purposes.

You must not use the platform to:

* Scan or test systems without appropriate authorization.
* Attempt unauthorized access to websites, servers, accounts, or infrastructure.
* Disrupt the availability or normal operation of third-party systems.
* Exploit vulnerabilities or use scan results to facilitate unauthorized activity.
* Interfere with the platform's operation, security, or availability.
* Misrepresent your authority to assess a domain or system.
* Violate applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of security assessment tools is appropriate for the target and the permissions you hold.

### Authorization and Domain Ownership

Some platform checks may require confirmation that you own or control a domain.

You are responsible for providing accurate information and completing any required verification. Verification of domain ownership does not necessarily grant permission to test every connected system, third-party service, or external resource.

Ensure that your authorization covers the specific assessment you intend to perform.

### Platform Features and Availability

SHELLZERO X provides website and domain security assessment capabilities, with additional security agents and features developing over time.

Feature availability may change. Descriptions of planned or in-development functionality should not be interpreted as a guarantee that those capabilities are currently available.

The platform may also depend on external data sources, DNS information, publicly observable services, and third-party infrastructure. These dependencies can affect the completeness or availability of results.

### Security Findings and User Responsibility

Scan results are intended to help identify potential security issues. They may require independent validation and should not be treated as definitive proof that a vulnerability exists or that a system is secure.

You remain responsible for:

* Reviewing and validating findings.
* Evaluating the risks of proposed remediation.
* Testing changes before applying them to production environments where appropriate.
* Maintaining appropriate backups and security controls.
* Making decisions about your systems and infrastructure.

SHELLZERO X should be used as one part of a broader security process.

### Third-Party Services and Information

Security assessments may rely on information from external sources or publicly observable infrastructure. Such information can be incomplete, outdated, or subject to change.

SHELLZERO X cannot guarantee the accuracy, availability, or continued operation of external services or data sources beyond its control.

### Intellectual Property

The SHELLZERO X name, branding, website content, and other protected materials may be subject to intellectual property rights.

You must not use protected materials in a way that infringes applicable rights or misrepresents an affiliation with SHELLZERO X.

### Changes to the Platform or Terms

Platform functionality, supported checks, and documentation may change as development progresses.

Users should consult the official website and published legal terms for current information. Any applicable notice, acceptance, or effective-date requirements are governed by the official terms.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://shellzerox.gitbook.io/docs/legal/terms-of-use.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
