# Security Disclaimer

Understand the scope, limitations, and risks of using SHELLZERO X security assessments and vulnerability intelligence.

***

### Overview

SHELLZERO X provides cybersecurity assessment capabilities intended to help users identify potential weaknesses in websites, domains, and related infrastructure.

Security findings, vulnerability information, and monitoring indicators are provided to support security awareness and decision-making. They should not be treated as a guarantee of protection or as a substitute for appropriate professional security assessment.

### No Guarantee of Security

A scan report that contains no findings does not establish that a system is secure or free from vulnerabilities.

Automated assessments may not identify every weakness because of limitations in publicly observable information, scan coverage, detection methods, and the availability of external data.

New vulnerabilities may also emerge after a scan has completed.

### Accuracy of Findings

Security findings may require independent verification.

A reported issue may not apply to the target's actual configuration, while an issue that exists may remain undetected. Software version detection, vulnerability matching, DNS information, and other technical indicators may be incomplete or outdated.

Users should validate findings against the affected environment and reliable technical sources before making consequential decisions.

### No Guarantee of Remediation or Prevention

Identifying a potential vulnerability does not automatically resolve it.

SHELLZERO X scan results and remediation guidance should not be interpreted as a guarantee that an issue has been fixed, that an attack will be prevented, or that a system will remain secure.

Users remain responsible for implementing appropriate safeguards, validating corrections, maintaining their infrastructure, and responding to security incidents.

### Service and Feature Availability

The availability and scope of platform features may change as SHELLZERO X develops.

Capabilities identified as planned or in development are not necessarily available for general use. Users should confirm the current availability of any feature before relying on it for operational security decisions.

The platform may also depend on external services, public data sources, DNS information, and third-party infrastructure. These dependencies may affect results or availability.

### User Responsibility and Authorization

Users are responsible for ensuring that they have permission to assess the domains and systems they submit for scanning.

Security tools must not be used to facilitate unauthorized access, exploitation, disruption, or other unlawful activity.

Users are also responsible for reviewing scan results, evaluating remediation recommendations, and determining which actions are appropriate for their systems.

### No Substitute for Professional Security Assessment

Automated scanning is one part of a broader cybersecurity process.

Depending on the system and its risk profile, additional measures may be necessary, including:

* Manual security reviews.
* Authorized penetration testing.
* Secure software development practices.
* Patch and configuration management.
* Access control and monitoring.
* Incident response planning.
* Independent validation of critical findings.

The appropriate level of assessment depends on the system, its exposure, and the consequences of a security failure.

### Limitation of Liability

The legal effect of this disclaimer, including any limitation of liability, depends on the applicable law and the official contractual terms governing the platform.

This documentation draft does not create or establish a legally enforceable exclusion or limitation of liability. Any binding provisions must be stated in the official terms and reviewed for legal compliance.

### Final Notice

Use SHELLZERO X as a supporting security tool, validate important findings independently, and maintain appropriate security controls. No automated assessment can eliminate all cybersecurity risks.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://shellzerox.gitbook.io/docs/legal/security-disclaimer.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
